Ticks!

My main projects did not get touched this week on account of ticks on everyone and a cold for myself. The ticks came from our Tuesday walk at the Dow wetlands. There were five we found right away 2 on us and 3 on Sparrow. I thought that was the end of it, it wasn't...A week later i discovered two had latched on to Sparrow. Thinking 7 ticks must be all there is i didn't worry too much about them as they would be removed at the vet on thursday...again i was wrong...i had friends stay over, and can you guess what they received as their lovely waking/parting gift? A tick apiece woo hoo! So 9 ticks. The vet removed the two on him, he got Vectra....once again i though that was the end of the ticks....wrong again....2 more today, hopefully the final 2. That makes me doubt the Vectra medicine, isn't it suppose to kill them? With so many of them i am worried they they are coming from the yard. There will definitely be some weeding done this week! i was able to get a bit done yesterday but there is a lot more to do. I also got the lettuce and tomato planted.
